Reporting to the manager of Social Work services, our dynamic and supportive team comprises hospital-based Social Workers providing psychosocial support to inpatients and outpatients at both hospitals and community-based Social Workers supporting hospital avoidance, wellness, reablement, and group work support to clients through Primary Health funded services.
The Role:
This position suits an experienced Social Worker who can demonstrate a high level of clinical knowledge and capability to provide specialised clinical Social Work services to patients and their families within the Women’s and Children’s Service (WACS) at the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH), Mersey Community Hospital (MCH), and other off-site clinics.
The successful applicant will provide clinical expertise and comprehensive Social Work services in accordance with organisational policies and Australian Association of Social Workers Practice Standards and Code of Ethics.
Details of Appointment:
Permanent, full-time, day worker (with on-call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 12 May 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Hold, or be eligible for, full membership with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Current Working with Children Registration.
