The Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the ATSI Act and subject to the PGPA Act. The ILSC assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to realise economic, social, cultural, and environmental benefits that the ownership and management of land, water and water related rights can bring. The ILSC provides this assistance through the acquisition and management of rights and interests in land, salt water and freshwater country.
The Engagement and Communications Unit sits within the Policy, Strategy and Performance Directorate and is responsible for managing internal and external communications and media functions. Team responsibilities include internal and external communications; branding; media relations; and provision of advice to the ILSC Board and executives on the promotion and protection of the ILSC brand and reputation.
The ILSC is seeking a proactive Digital Communications Advisor responsible for leading the ILSCs digital communications. It develops high quality content to support the ILSCs social, digital and media presence as well as promotional and corporate publications. The position is also responsible for providing administrative assistance to support the ILSCs events and sponsorship activities.
Reporting to the Strategic Communications Manager, you will:
3. Lead the ILSCs digital communications presence and provide advice on best practice digital communications.
4. Research, plan and develop content to drive the ILSCs web and social media channels and communications materials including promotional collateral consistent with the Units strategic communications plan.
5. Develop digital media collateral using Adobe Creative Cloud products including video production and editing.
6. Liaise with internal partners to identify opportunities and develop communications content.
7. Conduct the day-to-day social media monitoring activities and reporting on the ILSCs presence across the digital sphere.
