The role will see you design, maintain and implement complex computer networks of NRW Holdings and its subsidiaries, while ensuring the network infrastructure operates efficiently and effectively.
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to: Designing and maintaining the organisations network architecture to meet current and future business needs.Planning and executing the deployment of new network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls and other network devices.Monitoring network traffic, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.Planning and executing upgrades, updates and patches of network equipment.Analysing network traffic to identify bottlenecks, optimise network capacity and improve network speed and reliability.Implementing security measures to protect the organisations network and data from unauthorised access and cyber threats.Creating and maintaining network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, technical procedures and other critical network-related documents.Leading and contributing to network-related projects, from planning to execution and delivery, while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.Supporting and mentoring a team of remote site engineers, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that the team is meeting business objectives and delivering high-quality work.To be considered for this position, you will require: Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Network Engineer.Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP).Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.Solid background in network administration and architecture.Ability to articulate technical requirements.Ability to work independently and in a team.Ability to rapidly adapt to changing technologies and environment.Demonstrates attention to detail.The successful candidate will have the below demonstrated technical skills: In-depth understanding of communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g.
