North West Renal Satellite Unit THS-North is a vibrant outpatient Renal Unit providing holistic renal care to the patients on the North West Coast of Tasmania governed by the Launceston General Hospital. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role:
* Great work life balance: Monday to Friday day work with rotational on call.
* Nurse led Outpatient Clinical Environment.
* Opportunity to work collaboratively with the entire renal team including Nurses, Consultants, Social Work and Allied Health to provide a holistic approach to the provision of renal care, planning, and management.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Renal Home Therapies, as a clinical expert in the area of practice:
* Utilises specialist nursing knowledge, skills, and experience to assess, coordinate, and review patients eligible for home-based renal replacement therapies (Home Haemodialysis and/or Peritoneal Dialysis).
* Provides discipline-specific expertise and effective nursing care, in partnership with patients, their families, and other health professionals, for patients undertaking renal replacement home therapies.
* Functions effectively as a senior member of the renal multidisciplinary team and contributes to workplace activities, working collaboratively to assist and support the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in achieving the goals of the service.
Details of appointment:
Permanent part-time, day worker position, working up to 16 hours per fortnight, as soon as we can onboard you. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
