Position: Policy Officer - Critical Infrastructure Partnerships and Policy

Classification: Executive Level 1 - $110,788.00 and $129,928.00 plus 15.4% super (part time pro-rata)
About Our Opportunity:
This role is part of a critical initiative to build the security and resilience of Australian critical infrastructure through collaborative partnerships between governments, industry, and non-government partners.
The Critical Infrastructure Security Policy Branch works across all levels of government and with critical infrastructure owners and operators to manage national security risks across Australia's critical infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including state and territory governments, Australian Government and industry partners.
* Manage engagement with industry on resilience and risk management issues, including developing communications strategies, guidance and support documents, and Government advice to industry.
* Oversee updates to subordinate and primary legislation to address contemporary security challenges.
* Provide secretariat support for sector groups, including meetings, papers, minutes, and facilitating leadership elections.
* Offer strategic advice on a range of issues to support the Director and Assistant Secretary, and other Senior Executives as required.
Additional Information:
Experience in policy development, providing strategic security advice, and an ability to grasp new information quickly are essential.
A strong background in research and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and communication at a high level, including negotiation skills, is also required.
