About the Role
The Network Engineer is a subject matter expert and reports to the Systems Engineering Lead, Next Generation CAD.
The Network Engineer will use their experience in Cisco ACI, Nexus switching platforms, and cloud networking to enhance and expand TZV's on-premises and cloud solutions primarily in Azure as well as other hyper-scaler providers as required.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge network technologies in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Working under the direction of the Network Architect and Senior Network Engineer, accountabilities include building, configuring and installation of various devices (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls), performing installation, build, system tests and monitoring performance to ensure newly built systems are available and reliable in delivering collaborative solutions for mission-critical environments.
The main purpose of the role is to support the delivery of the hybrid cloud and on-premises solutions for the TZV transformation program.
The scope will focus predominantly on the Next Generation CAD Project.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with specific design components of the network and security infrastructure.
* Building, configuring and implementing network and security infrastructure.
* Creating network documentation.
* Performing physical setup tasks, including racking, stacking, and cabling network devices.
About You
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Networking, or a related discipline, as well as the following:
* Experience in a large organisation, supporting 24/7 infrastructure environments.
* Strong knowledge of Azure Networking.
* Experience in the deployment and management of Palo Alto or Fortinet Firewalls.
* ITIL V3 Certification.
