An exciting opportunity for a Commercial Director to join the Capella Capital team supporting the Melton Hospital Project in Melbourne. This is a full-time, permanent role.
As Commercial Director you will support the Project Co Representative in all Project commercial aspects, including administration of the Project Deed, the D&C Contract, the Services Contracts, the Interface Deed (KS), and the Value Creation Opportunities, including management of Claims, Disputes, Modifications, Defects and updating the Project Co management team on such activities.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
* Provide commercial leadership and implementation of commercial process and practices that underpin the successful delivery of the Project.
* Provide commercial and legal advice to the Project Co team.
* Administer Project Documents for Project Co.
* Provide advice on Subcontractor Claims, Disputes and Modifications.
* Communicate legal and contractual issues to various stakeholder groups.
* Manage external legal consultants and advisors.
* Perform a company secretarial function.
* Provide advice and briefing to the Project Co board about contractual issues.
* Coordinate the production of board papers.
* Coordinate the production, amendment and updating of the relevant Site-based OHS procedures for use by Project Co and all Project Co Associates to ensure work health and safety (WHS) procedures aligned with the OHS Legislation and any reasonable compliance and reporting requirements of the State and Western Health.
To see success, you will bring tertiary qualification in law preferably, commerce or business management along with extensive experience in practising law. You must be able to demonstrate strong, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills. Strong understanding of the PPP framework policy, guidelines and contract templates will be highly regarded.
