About Quinalow Prep-10 State School
Quinalow Prep-10 State School is situated near the picturesque Bunya Mountains National Park in south-east Queensland. Our school services a rural district, with most students traveling on one of two bus services or walking to school.
Our school community prioritizes academic performance and personal development. Dedicated staff provide a quality education to students from Prep to Year 10, focusing on excellence in teaching and learning. Leadership staff include a Principal and Head of Curriculum. Our team consists of 14 teachers, including part-time staff, and six teacher aides. Additionally, we have a Support Teacher for Literacy and Numeracy, Languages Teacher, PE Teacher, two office staff, two Groundsmen, and three Cleaners.
Student numbers range from 85 to 91. Classes often involve multi-age groups, offering opportunities for collaborative teaching and learning. Our facilities include three main teaching blocks, a Library, Home Economics/Manual Arts block, swimming pool, ovals, multipurpose court, cricket practice nets, handball courts, shade shelters, and playgrounds. We offer various extra-curricular programs, including Agricultural science, choir, sport, and music.
An active Parents and Citizens Association plays a significant role in our school through various committees, contributing to excursions, upgrades, and other programs.
About The Role
* Assist teachers and students with sporting activities and school excursions.
* Manage and stocktake equipment and resources.
* Communicate effectively and display high-level interpersonal skills as an effective team member.
* Maintain anecdotal records for student development reviews.
* Display respect and empathy for students with high needs.
* Show confidentiality, tact, reliability, and sensitivity towards students and their families.
* Compile and supervise class rolls.
* Provide clerical assistance, including typing notes and work programs, duplicating materials, checking bus lists, collating exam papers, recording results, and compiling students' records.
