The role will be responsible for managing the Southern Ports stocking policy, materials management (including sparing, rotables and disposals); and inventory master data (including cataloguing) as part of the integrated asset management strategy and systems. Specifically, as part of the Procurement function, the role will support regional maintenance and operations by ensuring inventory management activities are delivered in accordance with agreed service levels and procedures.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop the Southern Ports inventory stocking policy in consultation with Maintenance, Operations and Finance. This includes developing the stocking policy for:MROInsurance sparesCritical sparesRotablesFuelLead a small team in a warehouse environmentMonitor the automatic replenishment function (MRP) in D365 for all Ports to ensure planned replenishment is consistent with observed consumption patterns and approved stock levelsAnalyse all stock movements and inventory usage for all Ports, to make recommendations to the Warehouse SupervisorLiaise with maintenance, engineering, and financeProvide cataloguing support by liaising with category specialists and buyersAs back up to the Store Person and complete receipt of incoming inventory items, item movement journalsEnsure all personal involvement in warehouse operations complies with Statutory and Company policies and procedures with regards to personnel safety, safety and security of associated warehouse buildings, plant and equipment, stock held on site and interaction with the publicThe Expertise5 years experience in a similar roleProven experience in maintenance planning, warehousing or inventory planning in a mining or energy or port operations environmentExperience using ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another Tier 1 or 2 ERP)Experience in providing end to end supply chain management support in a primarily maintenance environment, including supporting:Maintenance planning and executionWarehouse and distributionInventory managementAsset managementKnowledge of:Procure to pay and materials management business processes (including repairs and disposals)Various stocking strategies and their applicationTechnical product knowledge including products typically within the maintenance, repairs and operations (MRO) field such repairs parts, consumables and components, and tooling product categoriesGood working knowledge of ERP systems, including Microsoft D365 or other Tier 1 or 2 ERPKnowledge of and skills in using the Microsoft suites of Office products, particularly Excel and WordAbility to travel to other Southern Ports locations (Albany, Bunbury, Esperance, and Perth)RequirementsTo apply, please submit your application through our advertisement.
