As our highly valued Senior Manager Business Controls, your role will be primarily focussed on leading the risk and compliance stream of the Embedded Finance project. This project is focussed on developing distribution partnerships to grow the business bank offering in market. This will include a range of partnership models that each have their unique requirements and risk and obligations considerations.
This role will require you to work autonomously within a dynamic project environment. You will deal directly with prospective strategic partners and Constantinople. You will be responsible for making decisions that are within risk appetite and knowing when to escalate.
As required you will also support your business controls team colleagues in continuing to expand and mature the core business bank offering (Business+) with Constantinople and ensuring the division operates within the risk management framework of the Bank. This includes significant uplift in risk maturity under the bank’s risk transformation program (RFG24).
You’ll make an impact by:
* You will lead the risk and compliance stream to partner with key internal stakeholders, Constantinople and strategic partners to design and build distribution capability for Great Southern Bank’s business bank offering
* You will provide risk and compliance expertise and decision making in the identification and assessment of risks, obligations and controls to support business objectives
* You may also be required to undertake other key functions within the Business Controls team from time to time
Do things differently with us
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Minimum 10 years in financial services with a strong understanding of operational risk and compliance in the financial services industry
* Experience in banking compliance highly desirable
* Post-Graduate (Finance, Risk Management) (desirable).
* Knowledge of relevant Finance industry standards, acts, codes and legislation (e.g., APRA prudential standards, Corporations Act, ASIC Act, Banking Code of Practice, Privacy Act, AML/CTF
