You’ll be supporting care recipients in both group and one-on-one settings, helping them settle into the home, and acting as an advocate for their needs. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging activities based on individual resident needs
* Assist new residents in adjusting to life at the facility
* Advocate for residents, addressing any complaints or concerns
* Document daily attendance and activity participation
* Support the health, safety, and social well-being of care recipients
* Report health status changes to the Registered Nurse and communicate effectively with family members
About You
* Ability to relate and empathize with a diverse range of people
* Experience working in a team environment
* Understanding of aged care and dementia care needs
* A genuine passion for improving the quality of life for older adults
Essential Criteria
* Current National Police Certificate
* Certificate in Aged Care
* Driver’s License
* Senior First Aid Certificate
* Manual Handling experience
* Understanding of aged care issues
Desirable Criteria
* Awareness of dementia care requirements
* Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure
* Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and WH&S regulations
* Italian-speaking is an advantage
