The Role Responsible for effectively managing and delivering building certification, approval, and compliance services for the Town of Port Hedland, the Senior Building Surveyor will play an integral part of the Town's Regulatory team.You will provide expert technical advice and supervision of support officers, team members, and colleagues in the application of building processes and procedures.Your responsibilities will also include building certification services for basic, intermediate, and complex applications, exercising discretion to determine buildings meet relevant performance criteria and alternate building solutions in accordance with relevant legislation, registration level, and the National Construction Code.You will have the opportunity to develop, maintain, and review processes and procedures in accordance with the requirements of the relevant Acts. If you hold tertiary qualifications and registration suitable to undertake building certifications and can demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation, this 2-year fixed-term opportunity is for you!
