Job Overview
The Alpha Data Conversion Executive will lead and coordinate conversion activities across the organization. This includes cost estimation, scoping requirements, engaging with clients, facilitating data extract setup, organizing conversion events, and ensuring a smooth transition to business-as-usual operations.
This role requires coordinating the activities of up to 10-15 individuals located in different time zones.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinates conversion planning and testing to meet milestones.
* Creates data maps to illustrate the flow from legacy systems to in-house systems using existing functionality and processes.
* Drives the data conversion development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, deployment tools, and maintenance.
* Resolves issues and gaps in data provided or discrepancies between legacy presentation and future state models based on client feedback.
* Leads all conversion events, which may include weekend activity and off-hours work.
* Serves as a client-facing lead for all conversation-related activities with clients and internal business units.
* Acts as a subject matter expert, speaking to details as required while managing multiple processes.
* May require occasional weekend work.
* Leads a global conversion team responsible for executing implementation activities.
* May require occasional travel for client or global team onsite visits.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, or a related field, plus 10 years of relevant financial industry experience.
* Alternatively, Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, or a related field, plus 3 years of relevant pre- or post-Master's financial industry experience.
Desirable Skills
* High-level knowledge or experience in capital markets, including middle office, securities, bank loans, IBOR/ABOR, transaction management, or system knowledge of RKS, CRIMS, Eagle, Eagle Star, PAM, Portia, WSO, or other.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively run meetings and collaborate across teams and functions.
* High level of skill in team management, employee development, and mentoring.
* Proven ability to work in a high-paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize, and prioritize work.
* Working knowledge of data quality measures across referential, completeness, tolerance, index, and business-driven data qualitative and quantitative measures.
* Solid ability to proactively identify potential issues and drive resolution.
* Experience owning initiatives/projects related to Middle Office Client Onboarding.
* Proven intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Access skills, as well as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or other project management software experience.
* Solid understanding of Data Warehouses and Databases, including SQL.
