Join our Goodwin Aged Care team, in this rewarding part-time role as a Home Care Support Worker, where you'll provide quality care and support to our cherished elderly clients in their homes, following personalised care plans. Empower our clients, foster their independence, and ensure efficient task management. Accurate documentation and respectful, warm communication are key, all while adhering to Aged Care Quality Standards, Goodwin policies, and safeguarding their privacy.
What You’ll Do
* Provide Personalised Care : Assist clients with daily activities such as personal care, housekeeping, shopping, and transport.
* Promote Independence : Empower clients to live their lives on their terms by supporting their physical and emotional wellbeing.
* Medication Assistance : Administer medications as per Goodwin’s policies and training (once completed).
* Complete Essential Documentation : Ensure all care records are accurately maintained and report any incidents or issues to management promptly.
* Provide Support and Companionship : Offer a caring, respectful, and understanding presence for clients, ensuring they feel safe and valued.
What We’re Looking For
* Australian Driver’s License & Reliable Vehicle : You must have your own vehicle with full registration and insurance.
* Relevant Qualifications : A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care/Home and Community Care) or similar is highly desirable. If not already completed, you must be willing to attain it within the terms of your agreement.
* Experience in Care : Previous experience in aged care or community support is a plus, though not essential.
* Strong Communication Skills : You must be comfortable interacting with a wide range of people, from clients to team members and families.
* Flexibility & Adaptability : The ability to multitask and adapt to various client needs and schedules is key.
The successful candidate must possess the right to work in Australia; must be vaccinated against COVID-19; must be vaccinated against influenza and be willing to undergo a Criminal Background Check / NDIS Clearance as a pre-requisite to employment.
