Where you'd be working: This Analyst Programmer role will be based in our Adelaide office providing business solutions to our customers either onsite or at the office. What you'd be doing (your day will look like this): Your business analysis, technical design and coding skills together with experience in ERP Software development will assist you in this role. Using your knowledge of business processes, following our implementation methodology in addressing specific functional needs of our customers, our Analyst Programmers are responsible for: Undertaking software development tasks including research, design, coding, writing technical specifications, testing and implementation. Interacting with customers either on site or over the telephone for solution design or programming. Ensuring the customer requirements and all changes to the application are clearly documented. Ensuring the technical design maintains a balance between functionality, usability and maintainability. Ensuring test plans and release documents meet appropriate standards. Undertaking sufficient level of unit testing to explore appropriateness of code changes. About you We're looking for a new Analyst Programmer who has: Experience in business application programming. Understanding of procedural and/or object-based language development. Broad Pronto 4GL and enterprise applications knowledge desirable. Experience in componentised program design. Understanding and experience of software engineering environment and the Software Development Lifecycle, including Agile Methods. Understanding of Quality Assurance procedures. Experience in one or more significant business applications, preferably Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) based. Understanding of transaction-based business systems and basic accounting. Experience in the production of technical documentation. To enjoy being a Pronto Software Employee you'd need to have: Successfully completed a degree in Information Technology or Business/Commerce area or equivalent experience. Possess a strong work ethic. Be resourceful and innovative at tackling complex and business challenges. Work well in a team environment. Analytical skills and lateral thinking ability with exposure to analysis of business needs. A current driver's license as travel to customer sites is required.
