Job Title: Recruitment Portfolio Lead at Rural Doctors Network and Outreach Psychiatrist – Central West Aboriginal Mental Health and Wellbeing
We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from psychiatrists to provide new and established psychiatry services to several locations in NSW's Central West.
The successful applicants will be responsible for delivering culturally safe, psychiatry outreach services for Aboriginal patients working within a supported team environment. These services will be provided in local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services throughout the Central West.
About the Role
This role involves providing psychiatry services to several locations in the Central West region of NSW. The services will be delivered in local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and will be supported by NSW Health under the Central West NSW Mental Health and Wellbeing Program: Regional Psychiatry Services.
Key Responsibilities
* To deliver culturally safe, psychiatry outreach services for Aboriginal patients;
* To work within a supported team environment;
* To develop and maintain relationships with local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.
Location and Visiting Frequency
The following locations have been identified for this role:
* Orange, NSW - 12 visits per year over 2 days; Orange Aboriginal Medical Service;
* Condobolin, NSW - 12 visits per year over 2 days; Condobolin Aboriginal Health Service;
* Cowra, NSW - 6 visits per year over 1 day.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a willingness to work within a mixed model delivery, with predominantly face-to-face clinics in the first six months. A flexibility to adapt to individual location needs is also required.
Please note that not all locations need to be serviced by the same clinician, so applications can be made for an individual location.
