We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Corporate Affairs, Community and Stakeholder Engagement to join Brand, Reputation and Corporate Affairs Team with at least 15 years experience.
The successful candidate will lead strategic efforts in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, media, industry partners, and community organisations.
In this role, you will oversee corporate communications, public relations, crisis management, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. You will drive stakeholder engagement strategies, manage policy development, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in advocacy, community relations, and leadership, with a focus on delivering positive community impact and enhancing corporate reputation.
You will be working as part of a team that plays a significant role in positioning the client as a modern world-class, and customer-focused organisation through a full suite of government and media affairs marketing and design, stakeholder and community partnerships and communication strategies.
The Senior Manager Corporate Affairs, Community and Stakeholder Engagement will work with the Group Manager Brand, Reputation and Corporate Affairs to assist with current workload and a review of the future working arrangements for the whole Brand, Reputation and Corporate Affairs function, which continues to go through a period of rapid change.
The specialist contractor will help streamline operational activities and create long-term efficiencies for the function and the business.
They will oversee the development and execution of annual plans for each area in the function and help manage day-to-day work in the following areas:
* marketing and strategic communication
* media and public relations
* government relations
* ministerial and executive correspondence
* monthly performance reporting
* community and stakeholder engagement
* community education
* history, heritage, and community partnerships
Experience and qualifications
The contractor will need at least 15+ years of experience across the full suite of corporate affairs, marketing and stakeholder engagement services, ideally with experience in the infrastructure sector.
You must be able to provide best-practice advice that will help staff embrace contemporary practices and set the whole function up for long-term success. The contractor will be working in a fast-paced environment with a wide range of relevant managers to be successful in achieving key organisation objectives.
Ideally, the contractor will have a bachelor’s degree in business, communication, and public relations, complemented by professional development courses such as International Association of Public Participation (IAP2).
Key deliverables
Over the next two months, in addition to assisting with business-as-usual activities, the contractor would deliver:
* finalised plans for each team within the Brand, Reputation and Corporate Affairs function.
* a new and effective plan to manage ministerial and executive correspondence for the whole business
