DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a skilled Facilities and Assets Manager for AU/NZ/PNG in Melbourne.
As a Facilities & Assets Manager, you will be responsible for overall property and assets portfolio of our Australian, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea locations. You will manage and maintain a portfolio of buildings, including coordinating building repairs and maintenance, building safety, lease negotiations. contract management, compliance and assets (including machinery, vehicles, forklifts, warehouse racking, etc.).
Your typical day at DSV:
* Conduct high level negotiations with external providers of facilities management services and assets to achieve prompt, reliable, cost effective, quality services to the company.
* Manage Landlord and/or Managing Agent Relationships.
* Carry out and coordinate make good obligations and negotiations.
* Prepare proposals for capital expenditure and minor works, using cost-benefit analysis techniques to enable timely decision making by senior management.
* Negotiate rental and lease contracts with external agents and vendors to ensure cost effective, low risk terms, in accordance with business requirements.
* Oversee the engagement of contractors in accordance with company policy to undertake facilities related works.
* Implement and monitor programs which ensure full compliance with all relevant local regulations and State and Commonwealth legislative requirements.
* Ensure all buildings meet essential service maintenance requirements and all facilities.
* Proactively lead and implement OH&S and sustainability policy, procedures and processes through all activities relating to facilities and assets

* Experience in managing buildings and assets
* Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
