This role involves ensuring that project costs are monitored, controlled, and reported accurately to ensure that projects are completed within budget. The role will provide professional support to the Project Teams in all aspects of cost management including tracking managing costs, identifying potential cost savings to ensure the financial health of projects. Duties include;Develop and maintain project cost control systems and proceduresPrepare, monitor, and control project budgets and cost estimatesTrack project expenditures against the budget and forecast future costsCoordinate with procurement and contract administration teams to manage cost aspects of contracts and purchase ordersIdentify and analyse cost variances and recommend corrective actionsGenerate regular cost control reports, including cost performance reports and forecastsProvide detailed cost analysis and reports to relevant stakeholdersMaintain accurate and up-to-date cost records and documentationReview and update project budgets based on changes in scope, schedule, and resourcesEnsure that cost forecasts are aligned with project timelines and milestonesIdentify potential cost risks and develop mitigation strategiesMonitor and report on cost-related risks and issues throughout the project lifecycleTo be successful in this role, you will possess:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years' experience in cost control in civil construction environmentExtensive experience in managing cost on lump sum fixed price contractsAdvanced MS Excel skills (preferably excel VBA)Experience with JDE, Primavera P6 and PrismWorking knowledge with Australian standard forms of contractsKnowledge of Power BIExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThere are many long-term opportunities available across our business, and more on the horizon.
