Orange, Blue Mountains & Central West NSW Project Management (Construction) Full time AWCON is a leading Australian civil construction company serving the mining and heavy industries sectors.We specialize in delivering large-scale construction projects ranging from $1 million to $100 million in value.We partner with Tier 1 clients across Australia and are actively pursuing new opportunities to strengthen our project pipeline.With long-term tier one contracts, we are actively searching for an experienced Project Manager to support our various Central Western NSW projects, based in our office in Orange, NSW.The ideal candidate will have a strong construction based background and will be operationally and commercially focused.They must be capable of managing multiple operational portfolios and will need to be an expert communicator.They will be expected to prepare and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis, ensuring efficient project execution.Objectives of this Role Build and develop the project teams to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation Lead projects with a safety first mindset.From requirements for tendering through to deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes High commercial understanding of progress claim procedure, contractual awareness and client engagement.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over a project's lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects Structure and manage integrated, multi-track project performance databases for multiple digital, print, social, broadcast, and experiential projects, with an eye on overall progress Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors and researchers Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans Preparation of monthly progress claims / job billing using Commercial Software Skills and Qualifications 5+ years project management experience Proven success working with all levels of management Proven success working with Clients and Client relations Strong Commercial acumen Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to schedules and budgetary guidelines #J-18808-Ljbffr
