About the Role
* Deliver proficient, patient-focused nursing/midwifery care, ensuring the best outcomes for patients.
* Support and collaborate with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in leadership and management activities.
* Oversee care delivery within your team, ensuring compliance with standards and quality.
* Assist with staffing, performance management, recruitment, and rostering responsibilities.
* Mentor and guide student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses, fostering professional development.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote and implement practice changes to improve the quality of care.
* Lead your team to provide exceptional patient outcomes, and support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in day-to-day management duties.
Requirements
* Current registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* At least 3 years of post-registration experience, or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
* Strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality, evidence-based care.
* Experience supervising and mentoring less experienced staff, contributing to their growth.
* A commitment to providing outstanding patient care and leadership within your team.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
