Slade Health is a national sterile compounding service provider with TGA accredited manufacturing facilities based in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales. That means we produce pharmaceutical products from chemotherapy drugs through to sterile antibiotic and patient nutrition products. We receive orders from hospitals which can be tailored to the specific needs of each individual patient, then our Production Technicians process and dispatch these orders to hospitals for use by patients all around the country. About the role: We have a full-time 12 month contract position available for a Production Technician to work at our Mount Waverley site. This role is rostered Monday to Friday, starting 2pm to 10pm (Mon - Thurs) and 1pm to 9pm (Friday), giving you time to yourself to pursue the other interests in your life. You will be provided with extensive and ongoing training, and on a daily basis will be responsible for: Picking raw materials Decontamination of materials Printing labels and batch documents Compounding/mixing product in the cleanroom Checking, packing and labeling final product Ensuring completion of documentation What we are looking for: Experience in a compounding role or within a cleanroom environment would be well regarded, as would candidates with a recent Science degree. Formal qualifications are not an essential requirement though, because our focus is for every Production Technician starting in the role to embrace the significant amount training provided; then work efficiently, accurately and with an appreciation for the importance of the quality of the product. Please note, this is a compounding/production role in a sterile manufacturing environment and does not involve any research, microbiology or product testing.
