About the Role:
My client is seeking a skilled and experienced CivilMaintenance Manager to oversee the delivery of both planned and reactive civil maintenance across high-volume utilities projects. This is a temporary position with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate. In this role, you'll be managing a diverse team, ensuring efficient project delivery, maintaining budgets, and optimising work flows, all while managing both internal and subcontracted resources. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Civil Maintenance Team: Manage both planned and reactive civil maintenance, ensuring all works are completed to high standards.
Work Order Management: Oversee and track work orders, ensuring all tasks are executed on time and according to project specifications.
Work Package Budgets: Take full responsibility for the financial management of work packages, including cost analysis and reporting, ensuring work is delivered within budget.
Team Leadership: Lead and support a team of engineers, supervisors, and operatives, ensuring effective coordination and adherence to project standards.
Project Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on project performance, safety, progress, and quality control to senior management and key stakeholders.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, increasing efficiency and the overall quality of service delivery.
Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with company standards, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a similar Civil Maintenance Manager role, preferably within high-volume utilities projects.
Ideally, experience within the Water Utilities sector.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Cost Analysis & Reporting: Extensive experience in cost management, including budget control, cost reporting, and financial tracking.
Work Order Management: Ability to effectively manage work orders, ensuring tasks are prioritised and completed within agreed time lines.
Subcontractor Management: Experience managing subcontractors, ensuring the quality of their work and that they comply with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
Contract Management: A solid understanding of contract management, including project specifications, time lines, and budgets.
Work Flow Optimisation: Expertise in streamlining work flows to maintain efficiency, safety, and quality in civil maintenance projects.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
Experience managing both self-performing teams and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
