We are looking for an experienced Cafe Manager to join our team! RESPONSIBILITIES Team happiness and effectiveness: Oversee training, rostering, and hiring to maintain a motivated cafe team. High-quality standards: Ensure top-tier food, drink, and cleanliness standards in all operations. Shift management and process improvement: Run shifts efficiently, and implement new processes to optimise workflow. Inventory and vendor management: Oversee inventory, vendor relationships, and supply orders. Menu profitability: Develop and maintain a profitable and appealing menu. Customer experience: Continuously uplift the customer experience with a welcoming atmosphere and high service standards. Barista and food handling: Participate in barista and food handling duties as needed. Lead by example: Set the standard for the team and ensure high-quality work. Primary point of contact: Address issues and provide updates to the operations manager. Note: if there are certain responsibilities you've not had experience with before, that's okay! ABOUT YOU PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS 1 or more years of recent experience as a day or cafe manager 2 or more years experience as a barista Strong listening and verbal communication skills A strong understanding of health and safety NICE TO HAVE Certification in Hospitality or related industry. Baking or food handling experience. IT / programming experience Marketing / photography / or writing experience PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS Australian citizen or resident with an appropriate long term visa to work in Australia.Note: This role is not suitable for Working Holiday VISA holders. Availability to work at least 1 weekend day every 2nd week Availability to work shifts from 5am to 2:45pm weekdays, and between hours 5am to 5pm on weekends.
