What is our Orthopaedic Technician role?
This role assists in the maintenance of equipment and supplies used in orthopaedic surgery and provides support to the surgical team during surgical procedures. Assist Sterilisation Services Department (CSSD) and nursing staff in the preparation of current, loan and consignment instruments for sterilisation. Assist with transferring and positioning of patients for surgery under the direction of the operating surgeon or delegate.

Area Profile
Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) provides specialist health care services for the community in the north metropolitan area and is located in Stirling, 14 kilometres from the Perth central business district. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of specialist health care services for the north metropolitan suburbs. The services at OPH are provided by three main specialties consisting of Rehabilitation and Aged Care Services and Younger Adult Rehabilitation, Surgical Services and Women’s & Newborn Services. Each of these specialties has a dedicated Allied Health Services Team.

Eligibility to Apply:

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
