Job Title: Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

About the Opportunity:
The Western NSW Local Health District is seeking a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at the Bathurst Health Service. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist doctor to work in a regional setting and make a meaningful contribution to the health and wellbeing of women in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients, including antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, as well as general gynaecology services.
* Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing leadership and supervision to junior medical staff and students.
* Participate in teaching and training activities, including supervision of junior doctors and provision of education and support to midwives and other healthcare professionals.
* Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in obstetrics and gynaecology.
* Be available to participate in an on-call roster and respond to emergencies within a reasonable timeframe.
Requirements:
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist, or overseas trained specialist via the appropriate International Medical Graduate pathway.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicate effectively through information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to provide supervision and training to learners at all levels, and commit to teaching and continuing education.
* Australian citizen or permanent resident, or eligible for sponsorship to work in Australia, and registered as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
