About the Role
Are you ready to take the lead and make a tangible impact? Reporting to the Head of Finance – Reporting & Compliance, the Financial Accounting Team Leader is the go-to person, driving financial compliance and ensuring the success of the reporting team.

What You’ll Do
* Lead, mentor, and inspire the Financial Accounting team to reach their full potential
* Foster a culture of innovation, engagement, and teamwork
* Own the End of Month (EOM) and End of Year (EOY) financial reporting processes
* Oversee external audits, taxation, and regulatory compliance—accuracy is key!
* Ensure precise management of assets and liabilities, with oversight of the Fixed Asset Register
* Keep the General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations up to date and in line with AASB standards
* Ensure 100% compliance with internal controls, policies, and legislative requirements
* Continuously improve financial processes, driving efficiency and growth
* Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Head of Finance.
About You
Ideally, you will be a qualified CA/CPA with a strong track record in leadership and financial management. You bring expertise in financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and statutory compliance, paired with exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
You excel at mentoring and motivating your team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. Your ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and effectively is a key strength. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and experience with Epicor software is advantageous. Experience in Residential Aged Care is highly regarded but not required. Above all, you are a strategic thinker dedicated to driving results and continuous improvement.
