As a Speech Pathologist you will:
Provide timely, evidenced-based, person-centred therapy services to children and adults with a disability within a multi-disciplinary team.
Manage a mixed caseload with complex and varied needs, working with customers of all ages, their families and carers to identify strengths, skills and goals.
Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, in order to identify suitable intervention strategies.
Deliver therapy in a variety of environments, e.g. centre-based, schools/preschools, group homes, homes and via telehealth.
Contribute proactively to the ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills within the Speech Pathology profession.
Have tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology with SPA registration.
Possess knowledge of strengths-based practice, as well as family and person-centred approaches.
Have experience delivering evidence-based therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and/or adult caseload.
Demonstrate the ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an autonomous, efficient and effective manner.
Understand the NDIS framework and working within a fee-for-service model.
Work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills – written, oral and listening.
Hold an NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain).
Have a NSW Working with Children Check.
Possess a current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willingness to obtain.
Have a current Driver’s License with access to your own vehicle (reimbursement for KM’s is available).
Provide certified proof of Working Rights in Australia - Passport or Australian Birth Certificate.
Complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.

Assessments and therapy are conducted in a family-centred way to enable the customer to live as independently as possible at home, in education or work and in the community.
