Glenaeon comprises both serviced apartments and independent living units (not residential aged care).As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by undertaking maintenance activities and providing excellent customer service to our residents. We are seeking a proactive individual with strong communication skills, intermediate computer skills and a knack for problem-solving.The successful candidate will support the close-knit team on a fulltime basis, from Monday to Friday. No weekend work!Reporting to the Village Manager, your duties will include:Coordinating and undertaking maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections for residential propertiesAssisting with basic handyperson tasks as needed, including minor repairs and installationsImplementing and adhering to EHS procedures, ensuring safety of all residents, visitors and contractorsCommunicating effectively with residents to address maintenance requests promptly and efficientlyCollaborating with external contractors to ensure timely completion of work ordersMaintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and update databases accordinglyAssisting with various Adhoc duties where required, as directed by the Village ManagerWho You AreTo be successful in the role, you will:Hold a trade qualification, with proven experience in the building industry or in a similar role – highly regardedBe organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasksHave effective communication skillsHave an excellent understanding of machinery use and tools required for the jobHold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)Be computer literate e.g. intermediate / basic knowledge with using Excel, Word, Outlook appsHave the ability to take initiative and be pro-activeHave the ability to work individually and in a teamHold a current Australian driver’s licenceRelevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.Ready to Join the Fun?If you’re passionate about leading a vibrant and caring community for retirees, we’d love to hear from you!
