A federal government agency is seeking an APS5 Co-Design and Engagement Officer to support stakeholder engagement initiatives and improve participant experiences.
About the Role: Based in Geelong, this 12-month assignment offers the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team, engaging with individuals with disabilities, their families, carers, and community stakeholders.
You'll play a key role in event coordination, stakeholder communication, and supporting engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Educate, inform, and collaborate with mainstream services to improve participant experiences.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support effective engagement.
Represent the agency at external forums and events, providing information to participants and the wider community.
Support planning, coordination, and delivery of face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid events, ensuring accessibility requirements are met.
Draft accessible engagement plans, reports, and key documents for presentations and consultations.
Track, monitor, and report on meetings and events.
Manage shared inbox enquiries, allocating and providing timely responses.
Take meeting notes and draft summaries to support team operations.
Provide technical and administrative support for virtual, hybrid, and in-person meetings.
Key Skills Required: Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
A calm and cheerful approach in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in meeting notes, drafting summaries, and document preparation.
Strong event coordination skills, from planning to post-event evaluation.
Experience working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable Skills: Experience working in government.
Procurement experience.
Coordinating meetings, workshops, and schedules.
Managing budgets and payments.
