Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be involved in the design of manufacturing equipment and new products from concept through to completion. In joining our team, you will be assisting with the delivery of new products and product improvements to market.We are looking for someone that will feel confident in:Ensuring all new or improved products are designed to solve real life problems.Working closely with the manufacturing team to improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, safety and quality improvement and efficiency.Performing industrial engineering design for manufacturing equipment and automation including preparing accurate engineering drawings for suppliers and internal users.Providing technical support to the sales team and external product installers.We will provide you with the training that will lead you to be able to provide technical product and systems support to our sales team, as well as be able to perform product testing for new products and systems.ABOUT YOUWe are looking for someone that is resourceful & innovative and has the drive to perform. You will have a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background, or you may be a new Engineer Graduate with practical experience during your studies! As a member of our team, your skills will include:Formal qualification in an Engineering discipline – Mechanical, Industrial, Product Design or similar.Ability to carry out product development, from concept through to production, and continued with production support.Demonstrated ability to be hands-on, build prototypes and perform product or process testing, including detailed test report compilation.Capacity designing manufacturing jig, tooling and equipment.High proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks or similar, preferably with proven PDM experience.Create or modify CAD models and drawings for components and assemblies.Ability to produce accurate technical drawings to Australian Standards.Experience in Lean Manufacturing methodology and practices is highly desirable.WHAT WE OFFERIn joining the dormakaba team, you gain access to a global network of colleagues that want to see each other succeed.
