Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Associate or Senior Associate to join their Corporate Tax team. The team provides comprehensive, tailored advice to support every aspect of the corporate tax process. They assist clients with managing intricate tax matters, including audits, international tax issues, corporate governance responsibilities, and mergers and acquisitions, covering due diligence and deal structuring. Work closely with senior leadership, including Partners, from day one, with a transparent career development pathway. Participate in regular tax training through internal and external programs to enhance your expertise. Gain practical, hands-on experience with clients while receiving ongoing mentoring and support. Key Responsibilities Conduct research and provide tax consulting advice on topics like tax consolidation, tax treaties, hybrid mismatches, Controlled Foreign Companies, withholding taxes, thin capitalisation, permanent establishments, and AMITs. Assist clients with mergers and acquisitions, including tax structuring and due diligence. Prepare and review tax returns for companies and trusts across diverse client portfolios. Research and prepare advice and calculations on international tax matters. Contribute to business development initiatives, including drafting proposals and engaging in client outreach. Skills and Experience A relevant degree and degree or discipline, along with relevant professional qualifications. Prior experience in corporate tax within professional services. Strong understanding of taxation for Australian entities. Analytical thinking and a proactive approach, with the ability to understand client businesses and apply knowledge to practical matters.
