Don't worry about existing knowledge; everything can be learned.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation Leadership: Manage and oversee installation projects from planning to completion, ensuring timelines, quality, and safety standards are met.Team Management: Supervise installation teams, assign tasks, and foster cohesive teamwork.Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary or secondary contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction.Technical Proficiency: Lead hands-on installation of pallet racking and storage solutions, utilizing tools, technology, and technical plans.Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to WHS standards, including proper tool use, PPE, and site regulations.Problem Solving: Troubleshoot on-site challenges and provide timely, practical solutions.We Are Looking For:•Proven background in construction or a related field, ideally with leadership experience.•Skilled in using hand and power tools.•Previous experience installing storage systems is highly regarded but not required.Licenses and Certifications:Mandatory:•Driver’s License•Construction White Card•Asbestos Awareness Certificate•Silica Awareness CertificatePreferred:•Working at Heights certification•Elevated Work Platform (EWP) license•Forklift licenseOptional:•HR+ LicenseSkills:•Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients, suppliers, and team members.•Proficiency in reading technical plans and executing installations accordingly.Other Requirements:•Physically fit and comfortable working on active construction sites.•Access to reliable transport.A day in the life could look like this:•Morning Briefing: Start your day with a team meeting to discuss the day's objectives and any special projects on the agenda.•Building Racking Frames: Dive into hands-on work constructing frames or equipment.•Delivery Runs: We often deliver our orders in-house, ensuring our clients receive their solutions on time and in perfect condition.•Designing Custom Solutions: Unleash your creativity by designing custom solutions tailored to specific client needs, like custom workbenches and trolleys.•Warehouse Installations: Collaborate on-site to install racking and equipment in warehouses and workshops.•Repair Work: Tend to the finer details by repairing damaged equipment and ensuring our clients can operate safely.•Evening Debrief and laugh: Wrap up the day with a team debrief and a drink to unwind.Possibilities for Growth:At SSO Handling & Storage, we believe in the continuous development of our team.
