Knowledge of recent changes in legislation will be required to advise colleagues and clients on a range of planning matters and rural planning issues throughout Scotland.Key responsibilities will include:Lead and manage planning projects, providing expert advice and guidance to clients.Conducting site assessments and feasibility studies.Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and negotiating with local authorities and stakeholders.Staying updated on relevant planning legislation and policy changes.Qualifications and SkillsA degree in Town Planning or a related field is desirable.Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is essential.Proven experience in a planning role is essential.Experience of rural development is important and knowledge of permitted development rights for agriculture, forestry and statutory undertakers is desirable.Strong understanding of UK planning laws and regulations and enthusiasm for keeping knowledge up to date.Proven experience in handling commercial projects.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word packages.Have a full UK driving licence with access to a car and be willing to travel to site and project locations.LocationSituated on the banks of the River Tay in Perth, Durn has been Bell Ingram's headquarters since 1962.
