About the Role
As an Assistant Manager in our Diversified & Specialist Industries, you’ll play a key role within Property and Health VIC/SA/TAS. The purpose of this role is to partner with a Relationship Credit Manager to support thorough credit assessments for Specialist Industries customers.

What will your day look like?
As an Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Maintain a well‐managed portfolio compliant with all relevant policies and procedures
2. Maintain control of workflows across all compliance and customer fulfilment process
3. Act in the best interest of the customer and applying a customer‐centric approach
4. Proactively develop and maintain a detailed understanding of customer business and financial needs
5. Provide appropriate solutions towards account maintenance and simple customer requests
6. Support the management of a portfolio of Specialist customers
7. Collaborate with Product Partners and other stakeholders to fulfil customer needs
8. Engage specialist teams when required
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
9. Customer solutioning: Supporting customers by understanding their needs and informing them about relevant products or services, and/ or providing considered options, that meet those needs.
10. Credit Analysis: The ability to assess a customer's ability to fulfill their credit obligations, considering both qualitative and quantitative factors such as character, capital, capacity to repay, collateral (security) and conditions (the 5Cs of credit).
11. Relationship management: Building, maintaining and influencing relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
12. Compliance and policy management: Identifying and interpreting applicable laws, rules, codes and standards to create and/or manage policies, processes and procedures, including how these are organised, reviewed and communicated.
13. Data analysis: Collecting, profiling and analysing data to translate into meaningful insights to inform business decisions and deliver customer solutions.
14. Data interpretation: Using data and reporting to draw insights to problem solve and/or inform business or customer decisions.
15. Quality assurance: Ensuring the quality and viability of working solutions through quality practices and rigorous testing with a customer centric focus.
16. Ability to support credit approval activities with proficiency in credit assessment and management
17. Ability to bring the Commercial Properties and Health Specialty into the team.
