Are you looking for a role where you can make a difference? SYC is seeking a proactive and hands-on Human Resources Manager to effectively lead and manage the Human Resources team. Reporting to the Chief People officer, you will ensure the accurate and efficient administration of all Human Resource processes and the delivery of timely and compliant Human Resource services across SYC in line with all relevant legislation, standards, industrial awards, and agreements. You will have extensive experience in human resources and proven ability to lead a successful team and provide high-quality advice, guidance, training, and related Human Resource services to key business stakeholders. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Managing the Human Resources process, provide leadership and direction to Human Resource team. Managing complex employee complaints, grievances, workplace investigations and mediations. Providing expert advice to and mentoring managers on all aspects of people management. Managing the implementation and achievement of employment related targets set out in the Reconciliation Action Plan, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan, and other strategic initiatives. Developing, reviewing, and maintaining Human Resources policies, procedures, recruitment and selection tools, contract templates and other documentation as required to support compliance and continual improvement. Contributing to the analysis of exit survey data to identify, address and improve employee management practices. Overseeing the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of the Employee Development Program. Work collaboratively with the Chief People Officer to proactively carry out assigned Human Resources projects to achieve set objectives. About You To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate: Experience in successfully leading a team, including the direct supervision/management of employees. Previous experience working successfully in Human Resources, providing expert Human Resource advice and services to managers and employees who are geographically dispersed, and managing complex employee relations/IR issues. Comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of: Employment Law and relevant Industrial Instruments, including Modern Awards. Employee relations management principles and practices. WHS legislation and regulations. Worker’s Compensation, RTW and injury management. Exceptional Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels. Time management and organisation skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities and deal with competing demands. For this role you will need to: Complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check. Be eligible to work in Australia.
