The Role
Ellenbrook Secondary College (ESC) is seeking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated Head of Learning Area (HoLA) – Mathematics to join our dedicated leadership team. The successful applicant should display commitment to supporting student achievement through a positive and innovative approach to student learning.
The successful applicant should possess highly effective interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills and have the ability to work collaboratively with an enthusiastic team of teachers to support best practice. You should have the ability to teach to an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level and across all Years 7 to 12.
As a proactive leader, you will support your team to foster a culture that is student centred and relationship focused. You should utilise a strong working knowledge of research-based best teaching practice to work closely with students, teachers and the community, with an unrelenting focus on student achievement. This will involve you reflecting on and assessing the effectiveness of teaching practice and cultivating a safe and engaging learning environment. Experience in the use of classroom observations and instructional coaching will be considered beneficial.
