Having built a valued reputation for reliably delivering innovative education and commercial furniture solutions, BFX Furniture has expanded across Australia, New Zealand and more recently to South East Asia.Successful candidate to ideally start in January.About the role:Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will oversee the company's and its subsidiaries' financial operations. You will manage a talented Finance and Administration team while ensuring the integrity of our financial systems, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the delivery of insightful reporting to support strategic decision-making.Key responsibilities:Manage and optimise accounting functions, including accounts receivable and payable.Lead and develop the Finance team with a focus on mentoring, training, and performance reviews.Oversee daily cash flow management, ensuring accurate reporting and optimal liquidity.Prepare financial reports with actionable insights.Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations, including BAS, FBT, Income Tax, and Payroll Tax.Drive financial operational excellence by implementing best practices, controls, and transparent reporting across the business group.Coordinate the preparation of annual statutory accounts and external audits.Monitor and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk and improve efficiency.What we're looking for:A strategic thinker and hands-on leader with a passion for excellence and a commitment to integrity.A minimum of 7 years' experience in accounting and financial management roles.Proven expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and risk management.Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Strong leadership and team management capabilities.Excellent analytical and communication skills.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Commerce (mandatory)Active CPA or CA membershipWhat's in it for you?Enjoy a competitive salaryWe value your development and as a growing company there are numerous career progression opportunitiesContribute to a company known for high-quality and innovative solutionsBe part of a dedicated, collaborative team committed to achieving excellenceEmployee Assistance ProgramIf you are highly motivated, have skills that match the requirements of the role and want to join a company on the up, we want to hear from you.
