They have 3 Therapy rooms each offering different engagements for their clients. Their resources are very well stocked with toys and games, books, and assessments to assist their clients to reach their full potential. The practice currently has 7 Occupational Therapists. Of these 7 therapists, 3 do hand therapy only, 3 do paediatrics only, 2 are on maternity leave and the director does both paediatrics and hand therapy. They are backed up by one OT assistant plus 2 staff to assist with administration/reception. Some staff are full-time, some part-time or casual but they are supportive and are always open to refreshing and improving their skills in Paediatrics or hand therapy. Position Description: As an Occupational Therapist at this Bundy practice, you will offer individual therapy for the Paediatric clients as well as some possible group sessions. Previously the practice has run groups for personal hygiene, social skills, Lego and a Triathlon group. You will work with the child and their families to help them reach developmental milestones and to achieve their goals. Your case load may be varied, with children 0 - 18 years old with various diagnoses including developmental delay, autism, cerebral palsy, sensory processing difficulties, or fine motor problems. The practice also offers fortnightly PD focusing on Paediatrics. As a member of the team, you will be provided with shadowing period and induction, and will be supported to work within your scope of practice. The position is full-time over a 9-day fortnight, but we are open to considering applicants who only want part time hours.
