We collectively contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace, valuing diversity in all its forms.As the Cyber Incident Response & Threat Intelligence Lead, you are responsible for overseeing a team of cyber security analysts in responding to cyber-attacks, uplifting defensive controls, and improving threat intelligence capabilities. This role involves directing the team to investigate security breaches and implement countermeasures. As a proactive measure, your duties require you to analyse the activity on your organisation's servers, networks, and cloud environment, locating vulnerabilities and implementing safeguards and procedural changes to prevent possible attacks.The primary responsibility of this role is to be a hands-on leader and lead the team to effectively manage security incidents and manage threat intelligence for the organisation.Key Accountabilities:Incident Response ManagementManaging all aspects of technical security incident response from initiation to conclusion.Assesses the nature of the incident and determines what resources are needed to resolve the situation and restore service.Coordinates all efforts to contain and resolve the incident.Leads communications and conference calls with the team, stakeholders, customers, and others to provide updates.Documents all activities occurring during the incident following policy and using established methodologies.Conducts a root cause analysis for each incident to define follow-up action items and to make recommendations to stakeholders.Threat Intelligence and Continuous ImprovementOversee the collection and analysis of the threat intelligence to identify potential threats.Drive continuous improvement in threat intelligence area, including developing and implementing strategies.Responsible for owning and driving uplift in cyber threat intelligence (CTI) capabilities and processes.Accountable for ensuring that the Cyber Threat Intelligence technologies are functional and used to automate and improve CTI processes and outcomes.Stakeholder Engagement and Technical ExpertiseResponsible for engaging and providing technical expertise to stakeholders across a range of cyber security threats.Managing security partners, services, and cyber insurance providers to adhere to Nova processes and policies.Team Leadership and PerformanceManaging and leading a team of cyber security analysts in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.Ensuring team goals are met and aligned to Nova Systems business objectives and values.What we would expect from you:Experience in handling cyber security incident response and threat intelligence.Ability to mentor and develop a growing team, with experience working in an international environment.Proven ability in crisis management and the ability to perform effectively under pressure, providing calm guidance during cybersecurity incidents.Minimum 5 years of information security or cybersecurity experience.Extensive knowledge of business risk, risk assessment, and risk-based decision making.Ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences (in business terms), including board level stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in high-pressure situations.Relevant technical qualifications such as incident response certification (GCIH) or threat intelligence certification (GCTI) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).Be an Australian Citizen.Have the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance.Life at Nova - it all adds up!With people being our point of difference, we deliver on promises, reward good work, champion professional growth and support flexibility, all within a diverse and inclusive culture that recognises moments that matter.Life at Nova is our collection of employee benefits, designed to meet the many and varied needs of our people.Just a few of the great benefits you will have access to are:Generous Parental Leave: Primary Carers receive 20 weeks paid leave; Partner Carers receive 4 weeks.
