Senior Project Engineer - Transmission Lines - Billion Dollar ProjectElecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.The Role: Senior Project Engineer – Electrical (High-Voltage Transmission)Elecnor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Electrical (Stringing) to join our team in rural NSW, on a 14/7 FIFO or DIDO roster.In this role, you will oversee the technical delivery and management of a section of the billion dollar transmission line project PEC, with a key focus on designing stringing plans, developing methodologies, and implementing strategies on-site whilst managing cost and ensuring safe, efficient, and timely completion.This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to take a leadership role in delivering critical energy infrastructure projects.Primary Accountabilities:Evaluate and improve constructability and develop effective stringing solutions and plans for 330kV and 500kVOversee the safe and effective delivery of stringing activitiesBe a senior figure in a team working to deliver works packages to program and budgetCollaborate with the Procurement team to develop scopes of work and evaluate and select appropriate sub-contractors and suppliersAnalyse risks within construction to ensure works are delivered safely and meet all environmental and quality requirements.Prepare construction budgets, forecast and updatesActively leads and exemplifies a target zero safety cultureImplements systems and processes to manage the quality element of construction worksApply skills and knowledge to assist in planning and value engineeringLead in the management of subcontractors and advises on commercial aspects and performanceSkills & Experience:Degree in Engineering and 10 + years of OHTL electrical (stringing) site experienceThorough understanding of Australian OHS legislative requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhite Card (General Construction Induction Card)Driver’s LicenseWe’re building a diverse workforce.Elecnor is committed to being an employer of choice.
