Manager, Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy ServicePlus Community, a proud part of Housing Plus, has been providing community services to Regional NSW for nearly 20 years. We are a recognised leader within the domestic and family violence (DFV) sector in NSW. We currently run the Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Services (WDVCAS) in Central West, Western, Far West and Central North NSW, as well as the Staying Home Leaving Violence Service and Operation Courage.This is a permanent full-time role based from our Orange, Bathurst or Parkes offices. To be successful, you will require:Strong skills and experience within the community services industry, ideally within Domestic and Family Violence Services.Knowledge of the dynamics, complexities and legal and social welfare consequences of domestic and family violence.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice response to domestic and family violence including ADVO applications, criminal prosecutions and related legal matters such as family law, care and protection, migration and victim’s compensation issues.Well-developed leadership skills and ability to manage, lead and train a diverse team of staff.Ability to develop and implement service delivery strategies aimed at ensuring the relevance, accessibility and responsiveness of WDVCAS services to a diverse range of women and children.High level of communication, conflict resolution and advocacy abilities.Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders such as Legal Aid, the Police and service partners.Tertiary qualifications in social science/social work/psychology or management will be highly regarded. This will increase on an annual basis in line with the pay points in the Award.
