The Role With the Energy, Chemicals & Resources sector undergoing a significant transformation, we are committed to assisting our clients in navigating the complexities of energy transition, decarbonization, evolving product demands, expectations for renewable and recyclable processes with diverse feedstocks. We are now looking to appoint an experienced Director/Senior Director of Business Development to lead our outside sales efforts for Worley across "Australia Central" and Mongolia. Our Australia Central region or "AUC" region includes South Australia and Mongolia. However, you will also take responsibility for driving client development strategies with global cross-functional teams. You will collaborate closely with our Operations and Inside Sales teams (Proposals team) to position and differentiate Worley while securing profitable and sustainable work. You will also be accountable for delivering new award sales plans, including overall accountability for closing the deal for identified opportunities. Reporting to our Senior Vice President of Business Development for APAC, this role will be pivotal in steering our business development efforts across the region. Primary Responsibilities: Leading the development, maintenance, and advancements of new and existing client relationships through focused sales strategies based on adding client value. Driving client development strategies in collaboration with Operational, Functional, Commercial, and Sales teams. Developing, nurturing, and maintaining relationships with Clients (especially at executive levels including C-Suite). Develop, maintain, and advance assigned customer relationships through account strategies and customer contacts driving business advocacy and added value. Cultivate new clients in the Mining and Energy sector and assuming primary responsibility for Client relationships and associated Sales Strategies. Work closely with Worley Consulting, Growth Units, Operational Leadership, and Inside Sales Manager to drive the proposal in end game, ensure key win themes are incorporated and work with legal, assurance, and estimating/commercial teams. Working collaboratively with commercial and legal departments to lead pricing and contractual strategy development, pricing reviews, support bid and proposal estimate development, and customer commercial negotiations. Deliver individual and team sales financial goals/budgets and targets. Significant experience in senior business development roles within organisations that are focused on technical services to mining. A thorough and complete understanding of the Australian natural resources industry, specifically within the engineering, procurement, and construction markets. Possess a globally minded and inclusive leadership style. Strong team building skills with proven ability to develop, structure and coach a broad-reaching sales team. Ensure that Worley, the AUC location and appropriate business unit strategy is understood and communicated and aligned to all necessary teams across the ANZ region. Collaborative in nature and high degree of perseverance, tenacity, and empathy. A relevant tertiary qualification and or an additional qualification within a commercial or business-related field would be highly beneficial.
