Oztech construction and services is seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our team.
This is a full-time role offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a variety of construction projects within a supportive and professional team environment.
The successful applicant will have their own transport, hand- and power tools and brings hands-on carpentry experience, a strong understanding of construction methods, and the ability to interpret plans and specifications to deliver high-quality work on time and to standard.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities: • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials to construct frameworks, sub-floors, walls, roofing structures, and fittings.
• Install fixtures such as window and door frames, external cladding, fascia panels, and roofing sheathing.
• Prepare layouts, order and select timbers and materials for construction projects.
• Construct formwork for concrete where required, and repair or modify existing fittings as needed.
• Assemble prefabricated components and ensure structures are aligned, level, and compliant with safety standards.
• Use a variety of tools and machinery safely and efficiently to complete carpentry tasks.
Qualifications: • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and construction.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow specifications accurately.
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Familiarity with safety practices and compliance on construction sites.
