As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing our financial information, providing valuable insights to guide business decisions, and ensuring the company’s financial efficiency. You will work closely with different departments to analyze costs, prepare financial reports, and contribute to the company’s overall financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
· Examine statements from third parties (bank, health insurances, afterpay, zipmoney etc) and reconciling them with general ledger entries
· Examine operating costs and the company’s income and expenditures
· Ensuring accuracy of incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from accounts payable
· Prepare accounts and data for Business Activity Statements & Taxation reporting
· Prepare accurate financial reports, cashflow reports and financial data for presentation to the managers and directors, to assist with their decision making
· Maintaining accounting systems and internal control systems within the company
· Provide insight into cost performance by analysing the financial data, for presentation to the managers, directors and stakeholders
· Conduct financial investigations when required
· Assist with audit preparations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
· Liaise with suppliers and clients to resolve any discrepancies and account queries
· Assist with payroll on fortnightly basis
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or working towards CPA)
Proven experience as a Management Accountant in a similar financial role and experience in Dental or Medical Industry preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, MYOB) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
