What’s in it for you?
Step into a specialist role where your expertise in UX research and experience design will truly make a difference. Based in Newcastle, we’re open to candidates from Newcastle, Central Coast or the Hunter Valley to work in a hybrid environment within a smart and innovative design team. If you’re skilled in understanding complex user needs, especially within cybersecurity and Microsoft environments, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant, impactful project.
What you’ll be doing:
* Conducting in-depth UX research, including user-facing studies, to shape and refine service blueprints, journey maps, and other user data.
* Working closely with various project stakeholders, including business sponsors with limited technical background, to communicate insights and guide design decisions.
* Synthesising research data into actionable insights, presenting findings in a way that is accessible and engaging for stakeholders.
* Collaborating with teams on configuring and customising Microsoft solutions, specifically in cybersecurity environments, with experience in tools like Microsoft Purview and Windows Hello being highly desirable.
* Engaging with a culturally diverse environment, such as university, government, or council settings, to ensure designs meet a broad spectrum of needs and expectations.
Experience required:
* Senior-level UX research experience with a strong portfolio.
* Proven track record in the cybersecurity space and/or configuring Microsoft tools for enhanced user needs.
* Ability to present complex research findings to a range of stakeholders, especially those with low design literacy.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
* Experience working within government, higher education, or similar public sector environments is a plus.
