It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.The role will report to the Chief Steward. This role is essential in ensuring effective waste management across all venues. You will manage multiple waste streams in high-volume outlets while navigating challenges related to limited back-of-house storage spaces, extended travel times, and a vacuum waste system.A few of your responsibilitiesManage the waste collection and disposal processes for approximately 150 bins across multiple outlets, ensuring adherence to environmental and safety standards.Identify and resolve operational challenges related to waste management, including optimizing space usage in back-of-house areas.Plan and oversee the logistics of waste collection, including scheduling pickups, optimizing routes, and minimizing travel times to ensure timely service.Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies regarding waste management and sustainability initiatives.What we will be looking forProven experience in waste management, stewarding, or a related field, preferably in a high-volume hospitality environment.Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of effectively training and developing staff.Willingness to work overnight hours and adapt to changing operational needs.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.About youWe are looking for a candidate who can manage waste collection while ensuring safety and environmental standards. You will oversee logistics to optimize pickup schedules and routes, actively engage with the team to model best practices.
