About the Role:
As the Purchasing Officer, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager and work closely with the production team. Responsibilities will include: Raising purchase orders locally and internationally, dealing with existing suppliers and sourcing new ones, monitoring lead times, sourcing alternative options and assisting the Logistics team.
Responsibilities:
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supplier terms.
* Process purchase orders and intercompany stock transfers.
* Track supplier performance, resolve delays, and ensure quality compliance.
* Maintain stock levels, collaborating with production and inventory teams.
* Oversee logistics and shipping documentation.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance procurement efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with safety, company policies, and industry standards.
Skills and Experience:
* Procurement & Supplier Management – Experience in purchasing, contracts, and supplier relations.
* Inventory & Stock Control – Planning, tracking, and optimizing stock levels.
* Negotiation & Cost Control – Skilled in pricing agreements and supplier terms.
* ERP Proficiency – Experience with M1 (SAP a plus).
