HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an APS 4 level Laboratory Operations Officer for a government organisation based in North Ryde. This is a dynamic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art laboratory, supporting vital environmental and health projects. As part of the Analytical Services Branch, you will work on chemical and biological measurement, contributing to quality standards recognised globally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in sample registration, preparation, and analysis for trace inorganic and organic testing.
* Adhere to QA/QC procedures in compliance with NATA and GMP requirements.
* Collaborate within a team to meet deadlines and deliver accurate results.
* Provide mentorship and training on analytical testing methods and instrumentation.
* Communicate with stakeholders, including service engineers and suppliers.
* Uphold workplace health and safety protocols specific to laboratory operations.

About You
Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in chemistry or a related scientific field.
* Experience in laboratory sample registration, preparation, and analysis.
* Knowledge of QA/QC in a NATA-accredited and GMP environment.
* Proficiency in data processing and reporting.
* Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team objectives.
