YOUR ROLE
This exciting opportunity will see you head up our Trans-Tasmin development and review of IAG’s 3-year Group-wide Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy. You will drive alignment and commitment so that the areas of focus support business goals, the Broader People Strategy and a focus on ESG ensuring all associated activity including the establishment of a governance and accountability model (Board/leadership and ENGs) is in place, effective and annually reviewed.
You will use your strong communication and leadership experience as you engage broadly and communicate effectively, working with IAG’s Group Leadership, Business Partners and all levels to drive stakeholder engagement. Using your DEI expertise and SME best practice thinking and practice in key areas, including gender, pay equity, flexibility, cultural diversity, disability and accessibility (including Accessibility Action Plans), LGBTIQ+ inclusion, etc. Working with other Group SMEs, you will deliver and embed action plans that effectively drive cultural change and the achievement of DEI targets. In addition, you will ensure all compliance and external governance requirements are met (ASX requirements, WGEA, AWEI, Reconciliation Aust etc), including showcasing our progress in our annual reporting.
This role is a Permanent opportunity ideally based in Sydney.
ABOUT YOU
1. Extensive experience (8 years +) creating and executing a diversity, equity and inclusion strategy for complex organisations
2. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify how DEI can support business and people priorities as well as ESG agenda and be embedded into BAU plans
3. Proven experience successfully delivering complex programs of change via leading small highly engaged teams - planning and project management skills, including the ability to deliver high quality initiatives to tight deadlines
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and trust at all levels with internal customers
5. Excellent knowledge of leading practices and ability to leverage external networks/ organisations to support the delivery of a diversity, equity and inclusion strategy
6. Understanding of risk culture as well as regulatory and employment law requirements that impact DEI policies and practices in Australia and New Zealand (e.g EOCGE, AWEI, RAP, AAP, ASX Corp Gov etc)
7. Ability to digest and interpret complex and detailed information at speed and sound analytical skills to support greater insights on diverse demographics and inclusive culture
8. Excellent written communication and attention to detail
